Lives and works in Marseilles
A certain number of artists today envision their proposition by attempting to disturb, to explode the gap between real experiential space and imaginary symbolic space. Alain Domagala's work precisely indicates the shifts between normative representation, as in cartography or scientific drawing, (a bit outdated in some cases) and the imaginary transposition that each and everyone can make of it. It is well indeed a matter of question and therefore introducing a voluntary ambivalence between object, installation, design, model, and sculpture to create environments propitious to the circulation and the meeting between mental space and concrete space. Domagala waits at the interstice, at the junction between a conscious dream and a foothold in the real world. (Excerpt from a text by Estelle Pagès)
