Aurélien Mauplot

Aurélien Mauplot's imaginary worlds emerge on the edge of the visible and the probable. He builds them one stone, one image, one dream after another, to form compositions that are both stories and the spatialization of his stories. Taking advantage of the artist's research residency in Nekatoenea, Christophe Leroy observes him, listens to him and questions him about his research, his explorations, his quest for stories that are, in themselves, infinite adventures.

This film is the fifth in a series of six produced between 2022 and 2024. Entrusted to a creative documentary filmmaker, each production is devoted to an artist featured in the Documents d'artistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine documentary collection.
