The work was produced as part of an order initiated by SOLIDEO, it is part of the artistic program "Courants Fertiles" labeled Cultural Olympiad by Paris 2024.

Each sculpture displays a different configuration, as many stopped states of the rotational movement of a single armillary sphere. Installed all along the promenade along the Seine, they constitute a real zoetrope on the scale of the site. By photographing them sequentially over 24 hours, I made a film combining stopmotion and timelapse that shows the sculpture come to life as the landscape passes by. The device also allows anyone to make their own animated film with a smartphone.
