Le fond de l'air
Permanent work produced as part of a public commission from the Rouen CHU.
"Le fond de l'air is not a mural in the sense of Paleolithic frescoes, but shares with them a concern present throughout the history of art: to signal. Not like a sign indicates a direction, perhaps even on the contrary, without claiming to orient, because these signals are above all presences. We could take an inventory of them in Le fond de l'air: circles, rectangles, lines, complete or incomplete flat areas without forgetting the light to which. would add a set of shapes absent but constitutive of Olivier Nottellet's artistic practice, ghost objects, lamps and office chairs, projectors, screen sheets, without forgetting the color yellow, black."
