Lives and works in Néons sur Creuse

As a versatile visual artist, my research leads me to constantly learn new practices, to explore living matter in my plastic creations and the fabric of life in my written work. I started out working with the raw materials that my body provided, since those were the most living things I had at hand in the urban environment I lived in twenty-five years ago. Since then, I have taken control of my living conditions, of the way I inhabit the world, nourish myself and cultivate relationships. I have taken my place alongside my brother and sisters the trees, plants, rivers, animals, insects, fungi, wind, rain, minerals and bacteria with whom I live and work, with wonderment, gratitude and — the hardest learning experience for a human being — reciprocity. My artistic research is both the reflection and driving force of this process.
I built my home on my own and have developed a wide range of activities that allow me to produce, gather and trade to meet my needs and my family’s in an autonomous and respectful way. I cultivate alliances and cooperation both in this way of life, which I have developed for some fifteen years, and in my artistic practice.
