Eddie Ladoire

Born in 1975

Lives and works in Saint-Maixant

Eddie Ladoire was born in 1975 in Angoulême. He lives and works at Saint-Maixant, near Bordeaux.
After studying applied arts in Bordeaux, and electro-acoustic music at the Bordeaux Conservatory with Christian Eloy and Jean-Yves Bosseur, Eddie Ladoire steered his work as a plastic artist towards sound installations. His productions invite us to re-think our relations to sound, listening, and space: they are situated on the borderline between concrete music and the sonic arts. Eddie Ladoire uses the sonic world of everyday life which he records and at times transforms using digital treatments to create a personal world made up of both abstract and familiar elements, where the relation to intimacy is ubiquitous. He also collaborates on many educational projects in the form of workshops, as well as creating original soundtracks for films and documentaries, and acoustic design projects. In 2013, he created Unendliche Studio, an organization devoted to acoustic production.Translated by Simon Pleasance, 2015
