Brigitte Bauer

After developing a work on landscapes in her first series of photographs, such as Montagne Sainte-Victoire and Ronds-Points, Brigitte Bauer’s research has now turned toward the territories of everyday and even intimate territories, which she finds in urban, rural, or domestic spaces. Her photographs are often shown in France and abroad, as well as being featured in many public and private collections.
Brigitte Bauer graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie of Arles in 1990 and from the University of Aix-Marseille in 1995. She has taught photography at the School of Fine Arts in Nîmes since 2005.
