Connivéncia

Connivéncia is the first solo exhibition by Elsa Brès in Brussels and presents a body of work around her latest film project Les Sanglières. Taking the wild boar as her starting point, the artist turns the animal into a potential ally in the antipatriarchal and anti-capitalist struggle.

Elsa Brès' films and installations combine research, storytelling and experimentation. Anchored in the long term process and in the territories she inhabits like the Cévennes, in France, her work enables her to set her narratives in the more or less distant time, from which she extracts forgotten stories of resistance and rebellion.

The exhibition is realized in partnership with Fondation d'entreprise Pernod Ricard and the support of Centre Nationale des Arts Plastiques (CNAP).
