What role do territories play in building artistic pathways? Training, distribution, networking or documentation: what levers and support possibilities are activated? Alongside questions of professionalization, how do artists situate their practices within a territorial dimension? How do their works reflect local roots, without falling into the prism of the anecdotal or even the essential? And finally, how is belonging woven?

Resonating with Àster Atèrla, bringing together 34 artists from Réunion at the CCCOD in Tours, this round-table discussion brings together art historian Julie Crenn, curator of the exhibition, and artists Tatiana Patchama and Claire Trotignon. Putting the notions of landscape and architecture into perspective, from La Réunion to the Centre Val de Loire, each will talk about her geographical and artistic territories, and the often complex issues at stake.
