Janvier 2023

Documents d’artistes Genève (DDA-Genève) is developing an online editorial platform which supports the work of contemporary artists based in Geneva. As a dissemination, exploration, and reseach tool, the platform is dedicated to the creation of an archive editing online curated portfolios. The website will be enriched with newly commissioned essays and texts from authors working in the field of art criticism, curation, institutions and universities – and in the future with other types of content, such as podcasts. Also, through the organization of studio visits, exhibitions, meetings, and the publishing of editions, DDA-Genève’s aim is to nurture connections and stimulate vibrant conversations between the local, national and international cultural scenes.

DDA-Genève relies on the expertise of the French Documents d’artistes organizations from which it borrows and adapts the model to Swiss specificities. These organizations – which are joined together in the network Réseau Documents d’artistes (reseau-dda.org) – open up opportunities for several hundreds of artists, arts professionals, and the public to connect. Together they create a network that enables the circulation of regional art scenes and sparks new collaborations. With the integration of DDA-Genève into the Réseau Documents d’artistes, the network establishes its first international expansion.

The DDA-Geneve website’s launch is scheduled in 2023. It will host for its first year 21 monographic dossiers of artists selected by a professional committee. The first ensemble of artist includes : Giulia Essyad (1992), Anaïs Wenger (1991), Yoan Mudry (1990), Chloé Delarue (1986), Raphaëlle Mueller (1984), Jérémy Chevalier (1983), Pauline Julier (1981), Luc Mattenberger (1980), collectif_fact (1979 et 1977), Alan Bogana (1979), Omar Ba (1977), Josse Bailly (1977), Alexandre Joly (1977), Gabriela Löffel (1972), Andreas Kressig (1971), Laurent Faulon (1969), Tito Honegger (1963), Josée Pitteloud (1952), Véronique Goël (1951) and Anne Blanchet (1947).
