Fanny Gicquel explores the relationship between body, space and sculpture, creating environments that encourage exchange and intimacy. In a process of transition, she moves away from performance to establish a direct dialogue with the public. Her sculptures, conceived as relational tools, support dynamics of listening, care and vulnerability, and through a somatic approach, encourage sensitive and inclusive interactions, strengthening social bonds and offering experiences that question the way we relate to others and to ourselves.
In recent years, she has explored the permeability between self and other, inside and outside, living and non-living, seeking to create a new syntax that questions our modes of relationship. His sculptural works, often set in dialogue with performances combining choreography and improvisation, took the form of performative installations in which the interaction between bodies, space and materials was at the heart of the experience.
This approach continues to nourish her thinking, but she is now moving towards more participative creations, in order to offer the public a direct and intimate experience.
