"Exploring the body through the techniques of drawing and embroidery is at the heart of my visual art. After completing my studies, I felt an urgent need to return to the essentials. These essentials are anchored in the human experience, drawing, and embroidery. From the primordial—from writing to the simplicity of gesture—my creative process begins with writing, moves through sketching, and then proceeds to production. Through these creations, I weave a common thread that connects humanity, temporality, body, intimacy, and femininity. This exploration takes the form of drawings, watercolor paintings, embroidery, or even ceramics, depending on the needs of my inner essence. The softness of the mediums intertwines with the directness of the subjects explored. Cotton and organic fabrics blend together. Embroidery stitches and surgical sutures merge. Thread and venous system intermingle. Bodies take shape. Embroidery and drawing anchor the creation beyond the fleeting temporality of the present. I used to watch my grandmother sew, with scraps of fabric scattered here and there in her workshop. Today, narratives, memories, and accounts of collective or personal experiences weave together in my practice."
